Cables

Membrane Structures are often reinforced by cables. They can be used to stabilize the boundaries of the membrane panel when insetred into cable pockets. They can be used for creating the ridge or valley lines of those sturctures where membranes are redirected. Cables are reinforcing supporting masts of Membrane Structures or create the primary construction on which the membrane is attached to.   

The tension-limited load-bearing capacity of cables is similar to the characteristic of the membranes. Both materials are suitable for lightweight construction and complement each other symbiotically.

Cabe Types


According to DIN Standard 18 800 all cables are rated as high tensile tension members.

Cable consist of many individual wires, i.e. individual cross sections. This reduces the defect rate per cross section as compared to monofilament individual cross sections (e.g. solid rods) to a minimum or even zero.

Preferably the following types are used in construction: spiral starnds or full locked cables

elegant appearance, beautiful design, economic construction method,   fast errection time, save construction as no heavy or sharp objects can fall down, wide spans possible, less colums, more open space, self cleaning, less maintenance work
